Our Team
Tariq Elnaga,
Founder & Owner
Tariq came into the Western way of life out of passion rather than being born into it.
He took in his first rodeo at the Calgary Stampede in 2012 and has since fallen in love with the ranching and rodeo world. Determined to be on the other side of the fence, in those years since, he’s learned how to drive a tractor, combine, ride horses and rope. Since then, he now has his own cattle brand, a herd of horses and team ropes in the professional circuit.
On the corporate side of things, Tariq has an MBA and a Bachelor’s of Engineering, and comes with a over 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas.
Perennially being the “bottom hand” on the ranch, Tariq loves taking his horses to brandings and round ups – and that’s when the idea of Bottom Hand Ranch Services struck him literally in the branding pen – ranching operations need qualified help and he’s here to help do his part in continuing Western heritage and the way of life he’s come to love.
Ryan Wilcox,
Equine & Brand Partnerships Director
Ryan was born in the heart of Alberta, Canada, where he became deeply rooted in the cattle and farming industry. With family ties that span from generations of ranchers and farmers, he developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for the land and livestock from an early age. These rural values and practical knowledge laid a strong foundation for his future endeavors, both personally and professionally.
With over 15 years of experience in the oil & gas/petrochemical industries, Ryan built a successful career as an Instrumentation and Control Engineer, specializing in the design, implementation, and optimization of complex plant-based automation and control systems. Now living on a ranch just outside Weatherford, Texas, he has returned to his agricultural roots, blending his technical expertise with a passion for ranch life.
In his spare time, he enjoys team roping and showing cutting horses-pursuits that reflect both his heritage and his ongoing commitment to the cowboy way of life! As part of Bottom Hand Ranch Services, he brings a rare combination of hands-on ranch experience and engineering professionalism to the recruitment and placement of top-tier agricultural talent.
Kary Lee Williams,
Director of Client Service
Kary’s raised purebred Charolais in Alberta, Canada and ran a commercial herd of approximately 150 pairs. She quickly realized my love of the agricultural industry as a young adult.
Her professional career began as a claim adjuster for a livestock insurance company working with all areas of the agriculture sector. Her specialty focused on auction marts, feedlots, pasture and shipping cattle, sheep, horses and hogs.
After becoming a mother, she found a new focus and passion supporting families living within the military. She quickly developed strong skills which assisted these families in establishing connections, resources and support services within their current communities. She taught interpersonal communication classes, assisted in developing resumes for releasing military members and their spouses.
Through all of this, She continued to have a strong presence in the agriculture community with my husband and I’s own cattle and horse programs.
Now, living in Texas, she’s excited to be able to combine my human services skills and agriculture background with Bottom Hand Ranch Services.
